Start-up Labs

Start-up Labs

Start-up Labs are awarded to individual faculty members as part of a recruitment offer or a counter-offer.  Exact terms of the award are included in the Prior Approval Request (PAR) document or offer letter.  Annual reports of lab activity are submitted by the lab director, and reviewed by the LabSpace Faculty Advisory Committee.  Reviewers presume that Start-up Lab assignments will continue under the original terms of the offer as long as the faculty member is research active.
